A Munay-Ki Initiation - The Rite of the Womb
Munay means “universal love” in the language of the Andes. Ki means energy. So Munay-Ki beautifully translates to the “energy of love”. A connection to a lineage of healers. An awakening to the Creator-light within. An opening to the wisdom of the Earth-keepers. The 13th Rite, or Rite of the Womb, is an initiation given by a lineage of women who freed themselves from suffering and they want us to remember that we did not come to suffer, but to be powerful creatresses of our deepest longings and destinies. The Womb is not a place to store fear or pain, the womb is to create and give birth to life. When we receive the rite, we imagine we are being held in our mothers womb or the womb of the earth, Pachamama. This rite is making the womb a clear vessel for the times to come for the lineage to follow. Traditionally passed on from woman to woman, we all come from a womb. This rite is particularly healing for those that have experienced trauma, whether it was through child birth, sexual assault, against the feminine. The rite of womb (13th rite) is the water blessing, we are all made of water, life blood of the earth, mother. |
